What Are Skin Boosters?
Skin boosters are micro-injections of hyaluronic acid or active ingredient complexes delivered just beneath the skin's surface — not into deep tissue, not into muscle. Unlike dermal fillers, they don't reshape contours or add volume. Their purpose is singular and powerful: to flood the dermis with hydration, triggering your skin's own repair and renewal processes from within. The result is skin that looks and feels genuinely different — softer, smoother, more luminous, and visibly younger. At Panache, Dr. Ankit Gupta selects from three premium booster formulations — Restylane, NCTF 135HA, and Teosyal — each with a distinct mechanism, matched to your skin's specific needs.
Skin boosters are not fillers. They improve skin quality across the entire treated area rather than adding volume to a specific structure. Many patients combine them with fillers or B-otox for a complete facial rejuvenation result.
The Glass Skin Effect
Glass skin — skin so smooth, hydrated, and radiant that it catches light like polished glass — is not a filter. It is a clinical result of optimal dermal hydration. When hyaluronic acid is deposited into the dermis, it binds to water molecules at a ratio of up to 1,000 times its own weight. The skin plumps from within. Collagen and elastin synthesis accelerates. Fine surface lines soften. Pores appear refined. Skin tone evens out. The cumulative effect is what patients describe as their skin looking 'lit from within' — a quality no topical cream can replicate because no cream can reach the dermis.
- Deep dermal hydration — HA attracts and retains moisture at the cellular level
- Collagen stimulation — biostimulation triggers new collagen and elastin synthesis
- Fine line softening — shallow surface lines respond rapidly to restored dermal volume
- Luminosity — light reflects more evenly off a smooth, hydrated skin surface
- Pore refinement — improved skin texture and elasticity reduces the appearance of open pores
- Tone unification — skin appears more even, particularly effective for dull or stressed skin
- Cumulative benefit — each course builds on the last; skin quality improves progressively
Our Booster Formulations
We offer three distinct skin booster products. Each works differently and suits different skin concerns. Dr. Ankit will recommend the right formulation — or combination — based on your skin type, primary concern, and goals.
The original and most clinically studied skin booster. Uses non-crosslinked, stabilised hyaluronic acid (NASHA technology) that integrates seamlessly into the skin. Improves skin elasticity, firmness, and moisture levels. Ideal for patients who want foundational hydration and a natural improvement in overall skin quality. Results build over 3 sessions spaced 4 weeks apart.
New Cellular Treatment Factor — a comprehensive revitalisation cocktail containing 59 active ingredients: hyaluronic acid, 12 vitamins, 6 minerals, 23 amino acids, 6 coenzymes, and antioxidants. NCTF does not just hydrate — it nourishes. It addresses multiple signs of ageing simultaneously: dullness, fine lines, loss of elasticity, and uneven tone. Best for patients with fatigued, stressed, or ageing skin who want comprehensive skin revitalisation.
Teoxane's patented formulation combines non-crosslinked hyaluronic acid with a unique DNA Repair Complex — antioxidants, amino acids, minerals, and vitamins — specifically designed to address photo-ageing and restore skin luminosity. Teosyal is particularly effective for sun-damaged skin, and for patients whose primary concern is radiance and glow rather than structural improvement. Especially well-suited to the delicate under-eye and perioral areas.
Treatment Areas
Skin boosters can be used wherever the skin shows signs of dehydration, dullness, fine lines, or poor quality. The most commonly treated areas at Panache:
- Full face — the most requested treatment. Improves overall skin quality, luminosity, and hydration across the entire face
- Under-eye area — addresses hollowness, crepey texture, and dullness in the delicate periorbital skin
- Neck — frequently neglected in skincare routines; boosters restore hydration and softness to the neck
- Décolletage — sun-damaged and crepey chest skin responds particularly well to NCTF or Teosyal
- Hands — restores hydration and softness to skin that ages visibly with time and sun exposure
- Lips — a superficial dose of Restylane provides natural lip hydration and subtle softness without adding volume
The Process
A skin booster session at Panache is comfortable, precise, and methodical. The technique matters as much as the product — microinjections placed at uniform depth and spacing are what deliver consistent, even results.
Dr. Ankit evaluates your skin type, concerns, and goals. He assesses hydration levels, texture, and tone, then recommends the appropriate product and technique — needle microinjections, nappage technique, or cannula — based on the treatment area.
The skin is cleansed thoroughly. A topical anaesthetic cream is applied and left for 20–30 minutes, ensuring the session is comfortable. Most patients describe the sensation as minimal — light pressure and occasional pinpricks.
Using a very fine needle, the booster is placed in a grid pattern of microinjections across the treatment area. Spacing, depth, and volume per injection point are controlled carefully to ensure even distribution and a uniform result.
After the session, the skin is soothed with a calming serum or mask. You'll notice small raised dots at each injection point — these are the product sitting just beneath the surface. They settle within 24–48 hours as the product integrates and spreads.
Aftercare & Recovery
Recovery from skin boosters is minimal. The visible micro-bumps that appear immediately after treatment are temporary and part of the normal process.
- Small raised dots at injection sites are normal and resolve within 24–48 hours
- Mild redness may persist for a few hours — easily covered with light mineral powder
- Avoid touching, pressing, or applying makeup for 24 hours
- No intense exercise, alcohol, saunas, or steam for 24–48 hours
- Apply SPF 50 the following morning and throughout the course — hydrated skin is more photosensitive
- Skin may feel slightly firm for 2–3 days as product integrates — this is expected
- Results improve progressively — the best glass skin effect is visible after the second or third session
A standard skin booster course is 3 sessions spaced 3–4 weeks apart. Maintenance sessions every 4–6 months sustain results and continue to improve skin quality cumulatively over time.
Cost
Skin booster pricing at Panache depends on the product selected, the area being treated, and the number of sessions in your course. NCTF and Teosyal are priced differently from Restylane due to their formulation complexity. During your consultation, Dr. Ankit will confirm the recommended product and number of sessions, giving you full cost clarity before you commit to anything.
