Understanding the changes
What pregnancy does to the body — and why individual treatments aren't enough
Pregnancy changes multiple areas simultaneously. Treating them one at a time means multiple surgeries, multiple recoveries — a mommy makeover addresses everything in one.
Pregnancy affects the body comprehensively: the abdominal muscles separate (diastasis recti), the skin stretches beyond its elastic limit, breasts enlarge then deflate, and fat redistributes to areas that were previously lean. Each of these changes has a different cause and a different surgical solution.
Most patients find that diet and exercise restore fitness but not shape. A flat abdomen remains impossible when the muscles are separated. Breasts that have deflated after breastfeeding cannot be restored without surgery. Loose skin does not recontract after prolonged stretching.
A mommy makeover addresses all of these in a single, coordinated surgery — one anaesthesia, one recovery, one set of results. Dr. Ankit plans the combination based on your specific concerns and anatomy.
Abdominal Muscle Separation
Diastasis recti creates a persistent tummy bulge that no exercise closes. Only surgical muscle plication corrects it.
Inelastic Skin
Post-pregnancy skin does not recontract. Excess skin requires excision — not creams, not exercise, not energy treatments.
Breast Volume Loss
Breasts deflate and sag after pregnancy and breastfeeding. Implants restore volume; a lift corrects position.
Fat Redistribution
Pregnancy shifts fat to new areas — flanks, hips, abdomen — that don't respond to targeted exercise. Liposuction removes them permanently.
Dr. Ankit's approach
One surgery, complete restoration — planned as a single coordinated procedure
A mommy makeover is not a collection of separate procedures bolted together. Each component is sequenced and planned as a single surgical session — for harmony, safety, and one recovery.
Abdomen — Muscles, Skin & Fat
Tummy tuck repairs the separated muscles, removes excess skin, and repositions the navel. VASER liposuction of the flanks and upper abdomen is performed simultaneously for a complete midsection result.
Breasts — Volume & Position
Depending on your anatomy: augmentation restores lost volume, a lift corrects sagging and nipple position, or a combined augmentation-mastopexy addresses both. The approach is decided entirely by your anatomy, not a default protocol.
Body Contouring — Final Proportions
Additional liposuction of the arms, thighs, or back ensures the result is proportionate across the whole body — not just the central areas. This step transforms a good result into a truly balanced one.
The full combination is only recommended when it can be safely performed within a reasonable surgical time — typically 3–6 hours. Larger combinations may be staged.
Dr. Ankit will discuss exactly which components are appropriate for your anatomy and goals — there is no fixed package.

Am I a candidate?
A mommy makeover is right for you if you recognise yourself here
The ideal candidate is done with pregnancies, near a stable weight, and ready for a single comprehensive transformation.
Done with pregnancies
You've completed your family and are not planning further pregnancies. A subsequent pregnancy after a mommy makeover will affect results.
Persistent post-pregnancy changes
Your body did not return to its pre-pregnancy state despite diet and exercise. Multiple areas are affected — and you want them addressed together.
Near your target weight
You're within 10–15kg of your goal weight. Mommy makeover refines and restores — it is not a weight loss procedure.
Breasts have changed significantly
Your breasts have lost volume, sagged, or changed shape after breastfeeding. You want restoration — not necessarily larger, just back to where they were.
Multiple areas need attention
The abdomen, breasts, and body fat all changed after pregnancy. Treating them separately means multiple surgeries — a makeover addresses everything in one.
You want natural, proportionate results
You want to look like yourself before pregnancy — not augmented or dramatically different. Dr. Ankit's approach is anatomy-led and always proportionate.
A mommy makeover is one of the most transformative procedures in body contouring. Dr. Ankit will assess each area individually and design a combined plan that is safe, sequenced, and specific to your anatomy.

Mommy makeover components — customised to your anatomy, not a fixed package
Every mommy makeover is different. The combination is determined by what your body actually needs — not a standard menu.
Tummy Tuck (Abdominoplasty)
Repairs separated abdominal muscles, removes excess skin, and creates a flat, firm abdomen. The cornerstone of most mommy makeovers.
Liposuction
Removes stubborn fat from the abdomen, flanks, thighs, or arms that remain despite healthy weight. Often combined with the tummy tuck in the same session.
Breast Lift (Mastopexy)
Elevates and reshapes breasts that have drooped after pregnancy and breastfeeding. Nipple and areola repositioned to a natural height.
Breast Augmentation
Restores volume lost after breastfeeding using implants or fat transfer. Can be combined with a lift when both volume and position have changed.
Breast Reduction
For patients whose breasts are uncomfortably large post-pregnancy. Reduces size, relieves physical symptoms, and reshapes simultaneously.
Arm & Thigh Contouring
Additional liposuction or skin excision of the arms and thighs for a complete whole-body result — frequently added when the body has undergone significant change.

Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know before your consultation.
01 What does a mommy makeover include — is it the same for everyone?
No — a mommy makeover is not a fixed package. It is a customised combination of procedures selected based on your specific anatomy and the changes pregnancy has caused. The core procedures are typically: a tummy tuck (to repair separated abdominal muscles and remove excess skin), liposuction (to address stubborn fat deposits), and breast surgery (lift, augmentation, or reduction depending on what has changed). Some patients need all three; others may only require two. Dr. Ankit assesses each area individually at consultation and plans the combination that specifically addresses your anatomy and goals — not a default menu.
02 Is it safe to combine multiple procedures in one surgery?
Yes — when planned by an experienced plastic surgeon and performed within safe time limits, combining procedures is both safe and medically well-established. The key considerations are: total surgery time should generally remain within 5–6 hours under a single anaesthetic; the patient must be in good general health with no conditions that increase anaesthetic risk; blood loss from combined procedures is assessed and managed. The significant advantage is one anaesthesia and one recovery period instead of multiple surgeries separated by months. Dr. Ankit is conservative about combinations — if a patient's planned procedures exceed safe time limits, staging is recommended.
03 How long should I wait after pregnancy before having a mommy makeover?
The general recommendation is to wait at least 6 months after delivery and to have completely finished breastfeeding before surgery. This allows the body to recover from childbirth, for breast volume to stabilise after breastfeeding ends, for hormonal changes to settle, and for body weight to return to a stable baseline. Rushing surgery while hormonal changes are ongoing or while weight is still fluctuating produces less predictable results and may require revision. If you are planning another pregnancy, Dr. Ankit strongly recommends waiting until your family is complete — a subsequent pregnancy will re-stretch the repaired muscles and skin.
04 What is the recovery from a mommy makeover like?
Recovery is primarily determined by the tummy tuck component, which requires the most downtime. Week 1: rest at home with drains in place, limited mobility, walking slightly hunched as the tightened abdomen adapts. Weeks 2–3: sutures and drains removed, posture normalises, light daily activities resume. Weeks 4–6: return to desk work, gentle walking, compression garments worn. Month 3–6: the final contoured result becomes fully apparent as swelling resolves. Strenuous exercise and heavy lifting are avoided for 6 weeks. The breast component adds mild additional soreness in the first week, which resolves quickly. Most patients find the combined recovery is similar in duration to a tummy tuck alone.
05 What are the scars from a mommy makeover?
The tummy tuck scar runs horizontally along the lower abdomen — carefully placed within the bikini line so it is hidden by underwear and swimwear. A small circular scar is placed within the navel after repositioning. Breast lift scars depend on the technique: lollipop (around the areola and vertically downward) or anchor (adding a horizontal fold scar). Breast augmentation scars are placed in the inframammary fold or armpit. Liposuction scars are typically 3–4mm and nearly invisible. All scars are placed strategically and fade significantly over 12–18 months. Silicone gel aftercare, which Dr. Ankit recommends post-operatively, accelerates scar maturation.
06 Will the mommy makeover results be permanent?
The structural improvements — muscle repair, skin excision, and fat removal — are permanent. Diastasis recti correction with permanent sutures does not reverse. Removed skin does not return. Liposuction-removed fat cells do not regenerate. However, significant weight gain after surgery will stretch the remaining tissue and affect results. A subsequent pregnancy will re-stretch the repaired abdominal muscles and skin. Breast changes can also occur with hormonal fluctuations. To preserve results long-term: maintain a stable body weight, avoid further pregnancies, and follow a consistent skincare routine. Most patients enjoy their results for many years — and many describe it as the most impactful procedure they have had.
07 Can I have individual procedures instead of a full makeover?
Absolutely — a mommy makeover is not required. Some patients have only a tummy tuck; others have only a breast lift. Staging procedures is sometimes preferable — for example, having the tummy tuck first and the breast procedures 6–12 months later, once the body has fully recovered and goals are clearer. The advantage of combining is a single anaesthesia and recovery period. The advantage of staging is flexibility, lower single-session cost, and the ability to reassess goals after the first procedure. Dr. Ankit discusses both options at consultation and lets your preferences, anatomy, and health guide the decision.
08 What is the cost of a mommy makeover in Delhi?
Mommy makeover cost at Panache depends on the combination of procedures planned: (1) Tummy tuck component — mini vs full vs extended abdominoplasty, with or without significant liposuction; (2) Breast procedures — lift alone, augmentation alone, lift + augmentation, or reduction — each has different complexity and cost; (3) Extent of liposuction — number of areas treated (abdomen, flanks, thighs, arms); (4) Anaesthesia and hospital stay — the combination requires general anaesthesia and 1 night in hospital; (5) Whether procedures are done in a single session or staged. Because the combination is custom-designed, the only accurate quote comes after a personal consultation where Dr. Ankit assesses your anatomy and plans the exact procedures. There are no hidden charges.
